So finally I have started to blog

I guess that it was inevitable.  I am a slave to trying-the-new-thing so it was only a matter of time before I started a blog of my own – in hindsight it has taken a lot longer than I would have expected.

So like everyone else I will use my first post to ponder the direction this blog will take.    I guess that is probably why I have taken so long to start a blog is that I have no idea what I could write that would be of interest to anyone else.  To be honest I have no idea what I will write about and will let this blog  take its own direction.
